Beamer looked up into Wyrmmius' blue eyes.
The two dragons smiled. Goodbye had come much too soon.
''Wrymmius, how will I ever get by without you?'' asked Beamer.
Wyrmmius took his gaze off the stars above, and looked into
Beamers deep brown eyes. His smile became gentle, reassuring.
''Beamer, your heart will heal one day. Although you'll lose me,
you'll never lose the part of you that helps you to love.'' said Wrymmius.
Slowly, he began to glow.
''But what if I can't love? I'll always love you. I could never love anyone else.'' replied Beamer.
''You'll find love again, Beamer. Don't forget about me, but remember that I'm still here.'' replied Wyrmmius.
Wyrmmius was aware that he would dissappear any second now.
''I'll always love you, Beamer,''
''From now, until forever.''

Overall Vision Originality Technique ImpactIn this, I find myself tossed into the very end of a story. I would rather have this written longer and better than this short, dry bit.
I find myself asking "Why is Wyrmmius leaving?" and "Why does Beamer love Wyrmmius so much?"
I think you will definitely benefit from being more specific. Even if it a short, I should not have to ask these questions.
In regards to the comments in the bottom, I agree with both sides. I think that "Diary of a Wimpy Kid" is a good book for the 8-14 age group, you should not be afraid to stray and see how other authors write. Learn from other styles. You'll be a great writer someday.
